The Community Pest Relief Fund was created because, for our founders, pest control isn’t an abstract issue—it’s personal.

One of our members experienced a severe infestation in their own home. It was overwhelming, stressful, and expensive. Even with steady income and support, navigating the situation was exhausting. That experience opened our eyes to how deeply an infestation can affect a family’s wellbeing—not just their living space.

Another member works in the pest control industry and sees these struggles every day. They meet families who are doing everything right but simply cannot afford the treatments needed to make their homes safe again. They see parents embarrassed to ask for help, seniors on fixed incomes facing impossible decisions, and children living in conditions no child should have to endure. Again and again, they’ve watched families suffer in silence because help was out of reach.

Together, these two perspectives—one lived, one witnessed—made something clear: no family should have to choose between paying for basic needs and living in a safe, healthy home. Infestations don’t wait for better financial times. They spread, they worsen, and they impact the physical and emotional health of everyone in the home.

The Community Relief Fund was created to step into that gap. To turn firsthand experience into compassion. To turn professional insight into action. And to ensure that families who are already fighting to stay afloat aren’t left to battle pests alone.
