Mission

Goodfellows is one of the longest running Christmas gifting organizations for charitable purposes in Rice County. Our mission is to assist families during the Holiday season with gift boxes of food, new toy for each child, a new outfit for each child, gloves, hats, and personal hygiene items for each child. These gifts are to help each family get through the time when children are out of school for Christmas break. Goodfellows also helps throughout the year where there is an emergency involved.

Profile

 Goodfellows is a non-profit organization ran by dedicated volunteers only who services 5 towns in Rice County (Lyons, Bushton, Geneseo, Little River, and Chase). We assist families with food, toys, clothing and personal hygiene items during the Christmas season, however, we also help during the other nine months of the year where there may an emergency such as fire, illness, accident, loss of job, etc. In 2022, we received 218 forms requesting assistance during the holiday season and served over 1200 adults and children. There were 3 families that received assistance due to family emergencies.
