Rice County Community Foundation Operating Endowment

Goal: $15,000.00

Specific Need

The Rice County Community Foundation recognizes the pressing need for establishing an operating endowment fund to ensure the long-term sustainability of its vital community programs and initiatives. This fund will provide a stable and dependable source of income, allowing the foundation to continue supporting local initiatives without relying solely on fluctuating donations. By securing an operating endowment fund, the foundation can guarantee its commitment to enhancing the quality of life in Rice County for generations to come.

Mission

The Rice County Community Foundation engages people, connects resources, and inspires bold solutions for UNITY in Rice County.

Profile

The RCCF was organized when a small group of citizens came together because they recognized a need for an event center and facilities for 4-H events in the county. RCCF was incorporated in 1995 and established the program, Building for Generations, which helped bring a community center, multi-purpose agriculture arena, and beautiful nature trails to Rice County.

In 2015, the event center transitioned to be managed by a separate director and separate Board of Directors. This allowed for the RCCF to pivot and focus on more philanthropic ventures in order to be a catalyst for improving lives in Rice County.
